More than the Door - April 2026 Newsletter
GOOD, BETTER, AND BEST GARAGE DOORS

We’ve made it through another winter — and this one was a cold one. After several milder seasons, this year was a sharp reminder of how harsh New England winters can be. As April brings longer days and (finally!) warmer temperatures, it’s the perfect time to take a look at how your garage door performed over the winter months. If your home is like many in the Monadnock region, your garage door may be minimally insulated — or not insulated at all. Uninsulated doors, often called “pan” doors, are made of a single layer of steel with no insulation. These doors offer little protection against cold temperatures and can allow more outside noise in your home. An insulated “sandwich” door, on the other hand, features a layer of steel on the exterior, a layer on the interior, and insulation in between. This added insulation helps regulate garage temperatures, reduces noise transfer, and increases durability. We offer Good, Better, and Best insulation options depending on your needs, budget, and how you use your garage. Whether you’re looking for basic thermal improvement or maximum comfort and quiet, our team can help you choose the right solution. If this winter had you wishing for a warmer, quieter garage, now is the perfect time to explore an upgrade. Give us a call at 603-352-8553 or fill out the contact form on our website — we’d be happy to answer your questions and walk you through your insulation options.
COMMUNITY CORNER

April can be a wet month here in New England — rain showers, gray skies, and muddy paths are all part of the season. But amidst those April sprinkles come patches of sunshine that remind us spring is just around the corner. What better way to enjoy one of those days filled with sunshine than by exploring Keene’s WallDogs murals downtown? The WallDogs Magical History Tour is a self-guided mural walking tour featuring 16 large murals painted by the internationally renowned WallDogs collective during a festival held in Keene in June 2019. Each mural celebrates a piece of local history, culture, or character. This outdoor art gallery is totally free and open 24/7, making it a perfect way to get outside and enjoy the warmer weather after a rainy spell. The murals are spread throughout the downtown area, forming a roughly one-mile loop that’s easy to walk. Grab a coffee, lace up your walking shoes, and see how many of the WallDogs masterpieces you can find. Download the mural walking map and make an afternoon of it!
THE TEAM

You may have seen this on our Facebook page, but we wanted to share that our team took part in a CPR training course at New Hampshire CPR LLC alongside our sister company Cheshire Glass. The class was hands-on and instructor-led, focusing on the critical skills needed to respond confidently in an emergency. Our team learned how to perform chest compressions as well as assist someone who may be choking, learning the key components of CPR and first aid training. Everyone had the chance to practice on manikins, ask questions, and get feedback from experienced instructors. Huge thanks to the team at New Hampshire CPR for guiding us through the class and teaching us these life-saving skills!
